About the film 'Barbarella'
The story takes place in the year 40,000. The opening scene shows Barbarella performing a striptease in her spacecraft, in a weightless state.
Barbarella gets a call from the President of Earth. He tells her that Dr. Durand Durand has developed a weapon: the positron laser. He left for the planet Tau Ceti. Barbarella will have to retrieve him and the weapon before things go wrong. Because the mission could be potentially dangerous, Barbarella must arm herself. However, Earth has known peace for thousands of years. For this reason, weapons have not been made for a long time. The president therefore teleports a number of antique weapons from the museum to her.
