About the film: 'The Gold Rush'

Chaplin, who plays the role of The Tramp for this film, goes to the Klondike in the hope of finding gold. When a heavy snowstorm threatens, he flees to a small house. Joining him here are criminal Black Larson and good-natured Big Jim McKay. The group is on the verge of starvation and is forced to eat what there is to eat. While Chaplin chews his shoe, someone else plans to commit murder to satisfy his hunger.

After everything spirals out of control, Chaplin flees. He goes into town and experiences adventure and romance.

The Gold Rush was a huge success and is the fifth highest-grossing film in the history of cinema.

Chaplin said after the film was finished that he wanted to be remembered for this film. This work contributes to that wish!
