This interactive work of art features the original movie poster, a multifunctional frame and the latest technological techniques.
This combination makes it possible to exhibit the film poster, watch and find out everything about the movie via a smart QR code and get a digital secret revealed from the frame on New Year's Day 2025. This artwork will continue to surprise you!
There are only 8 frames produced with the original 1959 movie poster of 'Some Like It Hot' starring Marilyn Monroe. Each frame is unique and the poster original (not a copy).
This French edition is deliberately provided with a nostalgic, dusty frame, with the poster deliberately framed in a bumpy manner. This relief provides a certain depth and cinematographic allure.
The film poster has an authentic stamp of the Central Commission for Film Inspection (CCFK) on the back. The poster is now permanently part of the art combination. For a full assessment of the poster's condition, please refer to the photos.
"Framed Bloody Mary" is part of the more extensive collection of Framed Movies.
The artwork is carefully packaged in sturdy reusable packaging and delivered including all necessary mounting materials.
About the film: 'Some like it hot'
Chicago, late 1920s. Two musicians, Joe and Jerry, are struggling to keep their heads above water. They usually play in orchestras, but the pool is thin and no one has work. The only vacancies are two places for women's musicians in a women's orchestra. As the two walk through the streets of Chicago, they unwittingly witness the execution of a number of gangsters by a rival gang led by Spats Colombo. The two flee, but also realize that they will have to go into hiding. They remember the ladies' orchestra and, dressed as women, they manage to get a place in the band. They call themselves Josephine and Geraldine and soon they are on their way to Florida where the women's orchestra will play for a few weeks. Once in Florida, the problems start to pile up.
Marilyn Monroe won a Golden Globe for Best Actress. In 1989, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry of the Library of Congress. In 2000, the film ranked number one on the American Film Institute's list of the 100 Best Film Comedies.
